Lindsay travels to many different tracks throughout the Eastern US.  There are a lot of different people at the track who all make up the karting "family."  There are a few who Lindsay pits with and who have all helped her in many ways.  This page tells you a little about them.

Wilshire Walkup a.k.a. Dad

PP Can

Wilshire started racing enduro karts in 1999 after prepping Lindsay's sprint kart for four years.  He races in the WKA National Road Race Series PP Can Heavy class.  At some tracks he also races in PP Can Medium.

His first National win came in August 2006 at New Hampshire International Speedway.  In 2007 he placed third in the PP Can Heavy National standings.

Charles Fox

PP Can & Sportsman

Charles is a four-time National Champion (2005 - PP Can Medium; 2006 - PP Can Lite; 2007 - PP Can Medium and Heavy).  He's come a long way since his first race in a "highly unstable" kart in 2000.

Charles has many national victories at tracks including Daytona, Barber Motorsports Park, Putnam Park, Road Atlanta, Carolina Motorsports Park and New Hampshire International Speedway.

He has also won seven Southern Kart Club Regional Championships.  In 2008 he plans to continue racing in the National Road Race Series, moving on to the Sportsman class.

David Armstrong

PP Can

David is the 1979 IKF National Champion.  He has raced both sprint and enduro karts and currently competes in the PP Can Heavy races.  He has run a limited schedule for the last few years.

Lindsay met David at 103rd Street in the late 1990s.  He helped her with set up on her sprint kart and continues to help her with her enduro kart.  David offered his enduro kart to Lindsay in 2000 and she was hooked.  David is to blame for her racing enduros.

Chuck Jones

PP Can

Chuck has raced for many years in the Southeastern US.  Most recently he bought a CKI chassis and is working on sorting it out.

Clyde Taylor

Briggs

Clyde has been racing karts for many years.  He has experience in both sprint and enduro karts.  He has won at Daytona and Roebling Road.  In 2007 he won national events at Roebling Road and Barber Motorsports Park.  On off weekends Clyde is the race director at 103rd Street Sports Complex in Jacksonville, Fla.

George Weeks

PP Can

George is the newest member of this karting group.  In 2004 he bought Chuck's old kart and started racing.  In 2005 he bought a new CKI and had it ready for Daytona.  George is still learning a lot, but is becoming quicker and quicker with each race he enters.
